Had to skip a visit to Devon with George this weekend to help Banners with a Ride complete bike test. The merry band built 10 complete bikes at Dean Lane and the testing began. Will did a top job getting BF running and the test was rounded off at Hengrove. Check the video, who says we don't properly test the products?

Havent been down the woods in ages now. Soon though, had a good time off...excited to get going on the new ideas and lines.

Been working for Phil on a new council funded pump track and learner dirt jump park in Weston super mare. It was way radder than i expected as well, i reckon its perfect for getting kids stoked on riding dirt and progressing...not as gnarly as a full on BMX track...i will going down for a session or 2 over the winter especially cause we have properly surfaced it will grit and lime dust so it should ride all year round.

Went and had a look at Weston Woods trails while we were down that way as well...kinda sketchy, sandy, carpeted and slack MTB lips but could be fun for a mess about should you find yourself down that way....nice sunset in the carpark as well.

went out on what seemed to be the Digmore WAGs night...

And i know which energy drink i perfere when dean lane nibbling.

Went to see Turbowolf (official digmore band?) with Kung, Craig, and Malboro Pete and went to the lanes for bowling after. Kung took the victory.

Went for a walk in the countryside will Te flying Kunalungadingdong and Jamaican Will.....interesting things were found and good views viewed. and some pleasant countryside tagging under a road

The weather has been rad. For drinking cider anyways, the digmore detox has been sacked off..inbetween the arrival of the freshers and peer pressure, booze and nights out seem the order of the week just gone. The woods have been raped. i am kinda burnt out on the place, everything is dry and haggard and no water left to fix the place up, things are running into a state of disrepair and i for one am just waiting for the rain and getting stuck into a winter of stacking and getting stuff 10x more radford for next year.........

Sam fowler sent me a video....mainly DH stuff and at 2:45 some pump track footage.....at the risk of sounding salty however, I wasnt to happy to see the berm being treated like a downhill track at the 3 minute mark. Riding them like that blows them to pieces...show a little respect and water and sweep before getting your gnarl on and try not to to do cutties in the bottom of berms. Thanks. My Mum came down at the weekend and gave me these tomatoes she grew. They look like giant jelly babies.

Finally made it down to Boyd's woods...rad little spot he has got running after only 6 months of digging....the roller coaster set up into the line is weird as hell, but fun when you have it sorted. He's got some weird plans for the winter. looking forward to seeing what he comes up with. Hope to get some more sessions in before the seasons out.

The jumps have been attacked for the 2nd time in as many weeks. the lips wrecked as before plus the 2nd in BF plus a bunch of other mindless stuff like pulling the hut down and trashing anything they can. oh what i would to to catch the gromits that are doing this. it sucks mostly because the water trough is dry and we used most of the water to fix them up last time. now we dont have water to fix up again or water the jumps which are getting pretty haggard after this dry spell we are having. ho hum.

Herrmann the Gerrmann was back in town, brought a bunch of northern dudes down the woods last monday. I am pretty shit with names, but Scott the punk, merlin and mole stick in my mind. but there was about 10 of them and all rad guys. Mole flaired the bowl and tyre tapped the tree next to bowl, impressive stuff. Will also showed me a video he had put together for the lights in the woods site. its called skeleton on the dunny, its a load of re-edited footage and will has got hold of some program that degrades the quality so it looks like its a VHS. Sick:

The weekend has a good one. Birmingham friday for Adi's exhibition, was good to see the final piece and i think he sold a fair few as well.

Drove down to Devon with Kung on saturday for Toby and Jess's housewarming, a real nice mellow BBQ. their new cottage is a million miles different to the flt in bristol, which in Toby's words looked like the inside of a Ipod. The view from their garden is killer:

Sunday we went and poked around at decoy, i was riding like a lame mule so didnt bother much. but it was rad to kick back and watch ferret and toby roasting, have a look at the photos kung put up...kung also got some good shots of ferret in decoy's new bowl for ride's park warden. Went and slept on the beach in the afternoon sun. I like devon. A lot.

Turns out Toby is massive in Leeds. A proper fan club, one member even drove down to Brum to buy one of Adi's drawings. Living the charmed life. That is his own vineyard on the hill in the background?! On the phone to someone important, probably sorting out a meet and greet in Leeds. Serious.

Why havent I been at the woods for the last 2 weeks? Cos I've been off the booze, locked in the studio drawing and painting pictures of you lot to go in my show thats why ;-)

The show is part of the Inkygoodness ' Wonderland' exhibition at the Vaad Gallery in the Custard Factory, Birmingham. It opens tomorrow with a party at 7pm, you're all welcome but I know its a long trip so not expecting anyone to go (although I think George is up for it).

The Theme was wonderland and I thought instead of doing some fantasy type thing I;d do the weird characters and creatures that live down the track. You lot. I've got a print done of the main collage (A3 giclee print) so if anyone want one let me know, I've ordered 10 so far. (adi@twoand8bmx.com) The originals are all for sale and there'll be some prints too. Hope you like em and hope I havent offended anyone. If you're not on the poster its cos you aint been diggin enough clearly. hah

Looks like our friends the lip wreckers have popped down the woods again. the 6th in BF and the 1st in inbetweeners taking some shit.

As well as fucking up lips, the hut was trashed, litter chucked everwhere and other mindless shit. the unlockable tools have been relocated. ask me where if you need to know....

But a couple of hours hard work friday, me and kung fixed up inbetweeners and cai, fresh off the boat from canada worked on BF.

In better news, kung, homer, potter and me beefed up the landing for the 1st in inbetweeners. looks rad now. should be a fun hip to roast. I like the way it looks like it is melting around the tree.

In other news. Old friend of the track, tom/timmy did really well in DH race in whistler...i lost the link (stick it in the chat box timmy, there's a good lad) But yeah, good work, must be the maverick cornering paying off. And on a DH theme, stoked for Steve Peat to finally win the DH world champs this weekend. At the age 35, there is hope for us yet, well not much for kung and adi but you get the point. ha.

The long weekend has been savage. Had the deluxe team through on friday, after several hours dialling everything in the rain did its worse and shut our woods down. shame. would have been too good to see max, mulville, pom pom and the rest carving around the woods. But the party on craig's cider boat and onwards was real fun.
Worcester was carnage. murray jam was everything i wanted it to be and the party after was intense, just wish i could get the damn thorns out of my body and 2 day handovers suck chuds but at least i found my missing shoe in the morning. Looks like the digmore detox is on with myself, the flying kung-a-lung-a-dingdong and Adi off the booze and on the productivity for september with lots of good stuff in the pipe line.
Clay up Tom took a massive slam on BF today making 3 out 5 locals KO'd from riding with bust shoulders. So speedy recovery for all....

Mr Alex Boyd has been badgering me to get a post up about his new blog he is running with the guys from Cheltbmx so here it is: CLICKY CLICK CLICK His woods are looking good (although i still havent actually been down!) and cheltenham has been crying out for good trails since RW's went the way of the dodo. Been weeks since going down the woods, checked out Wills handy work on 'Longwell Green', looking good. Pretty flooded down there, so dug some drainage and attempted to bail out the bowl with a bucket and chain. We also properly tarped up a couple of lips in BF. We're the ones who have to patch things up so please spare a thought or we'll get annoyed (Those that Dig). - Thanks.

Me and Cai did some grooming for a few hours last night and extended the lip on the first jump in the six pack along the bank.

Also cleared a bunch of small trees in the area between the six pack and WW1 / WW2. Got some ideas for this area. Instead of that berm after the hip in kung-fu, going to build a straight jump with a wide landing. There will then a lip on the right hipping into the second of the three jumps on the bank. Cai then wants to build a lip going to the left, into a hip that then joins up with the last jump of the three.
