wideopen

the new issue (8) of wideopen is out and available to download HERE for free. go get it if only to see my beautiful face staring back at you in the mini DH race at the FOD feature. It was jamie from wideopen's birthday bash on saturday night, partied at the cider boat and the rave boat. he was pretty wasted by the time i called it a night.

christmas party.

yup. the mirror ball was cool. the mulled wine and jager hurt my head. good party.

George's weekend.

as will and kung mentioned, this weekend saw the arrival of the man. Oscar and lex were digging out the bowl some more on saturday, shaping in the sides after me and timmay drop the bottom down about 2 foot a couple of weekends ago. gone is the flat bottom and now has a proper bowled out shape, well nearly, still needs more work though. As you can see from the photo the sides are getting over head height, going to pick up some lime gravel for proper drainage in the bottom. its going to be savage come the summer fingers crossed. not sure its suitable for racers yet though. its pretty ace being able to get a good overview of what been dug now the leaves have all dropped. going to do a 'before and after' post soon. Got me a new thermos, hot tea for me. bonza. also had BBQ'd pasty and sweet potatoe, i loved it, will wasnt so keen. Mike took down the old hut, Will worked on the new one.

immigration song

yeh, just in case anyone doesn't know, some guy from the highways agency came down on saturday, and the big bank is out of bounds so please don't dig where the roll-in, the hut and the dirt quarter were, it's pretty obvious. hopefully this will mean that nothing worse happens to the track/trails in future.

Nice one

Show the dog the rabbit

Last dig before christmas, well more of a replanning and moddifying session, moving stuff away from the bank so we don't get crushed by cars when they randomly swerve off the road.

Old GT not cool enought to hang with the fashionable road bikes.

New Highways Agency compliant hut being built.

Mold ridden golf seats ready for their new home.

in my time of dying

alright

will ere

well we're pretty much in the dark clutches of winter's grasp now, some parts of the woods were a clay slime when i went down on saturday for a little shuffle about, puddles everywhere, general messy greyness.

sunday was good, also i've been reading about conspiracy theories (4,770,000 search results..) some seem like a storm in a teacup but some are more believable?

pretty shady has been good lately, some good pics of plates of food and road bikes in there. makes a change.

this guy makes good videos.. this one is about summer (remember summer?) and how generally ace is it

Hells Kitchen

Finally managed to make it down around lunch time, not my usual half three and got some decent digging time.

Will was busy cooking his Sunday lunch.

Freddie seems to be becoming less scared, even helped himself to Wills bread roll.

Built a landing for the lip (front left), now on the home straight for that line. Should be able to get a couple more jumps in before the berm at the bottom.

Don't forget the sale.

Wednesday, 10 December 2008

Ace weekend. saturday chilled with will and will down the jumps. worked on will's berm of love or skipper the eye child to those in the know and the next berm in kungs line or kung fu as it seems to been re-named. wills work in the origianal line, the rollers and berm looks like so much fun, as will h pointed out 'it looks like a remote control car track'. talking of will, how can one so young and innocent (in that vid will posted) turn into what i last saw of him of saturday night. there are other ways of drinking pints of cider other than seeing them in one. class in a glass. had wicked ghetto soap on a little fire down the woods as well. good job.
oh, for those whos number/facebook i dont have, digmore christmas party round mine friday the 19th. good lads.

conservation

Seems like these lads had the choice to either lose their spot, or volunteer to help with the conservation!

Much better to have the choice than to be flattened with no warning or discussion...

What's poppin'

Popped down to the track ealier, planned to clean up the leaves and potter about. Looks like it's already been done. Loads of tyre marks, so someone's having a cheeky ride down there. What's the point, it's gonna be terrible to ride.

Don't remember seeing this either, little lip on the left and a small roller on the right.

Wasn't on mine own for long, Freddie dropped by.

Light was pretty good in the afternoon, should be good for some late evening shots in the summer.

Bowl should be fun too when it's finished, looks like there's some good dirt down the bottom of that.

Hopefully go down Sunday for a dig.

..oh yeah, wheelbarrow's got another flat tyre George.
