Its all coming along rather well. getting bigger and scarier. look at the photos. The leaves make everything look flat.

also on kungs line

well here was the problem. a tree on the landing. i was all up for cutting it down but kung being a secret hippy didnt want to cut down a tree. so he smoked a fat bong got is special hippy mind bending powers out and bent the tree out of the way, so now we can all get whippy over the set with out fear of rear wheel/tree incidents. I have highlighted the tree with my awesome computer abilities.

Kungs line is coming along well. Was helping him out the day, got a nice steep step up, on to a step up and down over the back berm then joining into Will's line via nice step hips onto the landings....it will all make sense in time. i hope. sorry about the bung photos.

Will's encounter with Foxy might explain this photo i took the other day. Looks like Foxy fancied making himself a new home in one of our lips. Bonza. New trail Foxy friend. mates for life.

cheers to those who were digging today, got so much done already it's gonna be a good winter i reckon, soooo motivated right now.

also it's interesting seeing who all the part timers are who were riding every weekend a few months ago and haven't been seen since it started raining... i've got a deadly ninja stick now so you better look out haha.

Since i am back at college doing carpentry it means i get half terms again. bonus extra 2 days on me weekend! i feel like a proper kid again. Went and moved earth with Kung and the new wheelbarrow, not sure how we lived without it for so long. Will get some better pictures tomorrow of what has been dug recently.
Here is some randoms:
Bumped into my mate Gareth with his newly aquired Raleigh Tracker on the way back from the pub the other night.
While digging today, it hailed on us, (thats hail in my hand!) so we took shelter in the hut. I would like to say it was the first time i have been hailed on this year. Its not. the photo of the cloud was taken about 3 weeks ago minutes before that cloud dumped hail on me while i was stuck outside painting a fence.
There is a picture of Kung in the hut as well. Looks like the credit crunch has hit him and he is trying to flog the hubcaps to passers by.

Don't have a wheelbarrow for your trails? Find a wheelbarrow that some builders have chucked in a skip for the crime of having a flat tyre. Pop in the back of your trusty Nissan Micra and drive home. Remove wheel and take wheel to your mate who works in a tyre garage to fix the flat tyre for you. Re-fit the wheel.

Next, pop your bike in the 'barrow and wheel the lot down to your trails smiling at passers by who think you are nuts for wheeling a bike around the streets in a wheelbarrow.

Present the wheelbarrow to Kung who will happily fill it with dirt to dig his new line.

Mike Aitken

This is pretty bad news. Most will have heard it before in case you aint, this was taken from his website:

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike, who was injured on Sunday while riding with friends in Pennsylvania. Mike is currently in critical condition in the ICU at St. Luke's hospital in Bethlehem, PA. His wife and parents have flown from Salt Lake City, UT to be by his side.

Mike was rushed to the hospital early Sunday afternoon after over-rotating a 360 and taking a severe blow to the head. Emergency staff immediately sedated Mike who was reportedly disoriented and convulsing, he has not regained consciousness since.

A ct scan revealed that there is currently no swelling of the brain, although there is an area that appears to have been injured by the fall. Further scans show breaks/fractures in Mike's orbital bone, cheek, both sides of his jaw, as well as throughout his sinus cavities.

Mike is currently on assisted breathing, but is breathing on his own for the most part. He has shown some voluntary movement in his left arm and leg. His right side is currently only responding to pain stimuli, but doctors say that this is fairly common for an injury of this type and are hopeful about his recovery.

He is not currently responding when spoken to or asked to move his hand. But again, doctors say that this is common for this type of injury and are hopeful.

Mike could wake at any moment, or his condition could remain unchanged for days or even weeks.

Mike is strong, and we pray that he will find the strength to fight through this. We will try to update as we learn more about Mike's condition.

Like many professional riders, Mike's BMX career makes health insurance companies consider him too high of a risk, and he is deemed "Uninsurable". Despite multiple attempts to obtain health insurance he is currently uninsured. The donations that have been offered and support that has been shown are greatly appreciated.

We all love Mikey, and hope for the best.

The Aitken family would like to express their gratitude to all that have shown their support. The BMX community has really shown their love for Mike over the past couple of days.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to Mike's family at 50/50 and Fit, as well as the rest of his BMX family and those at the Athlete Recover Fund. There are many of you that Mike has always considered his brothers, and we know that your hearts are with him right now.

As expected, there has been no real change in Mike's condition since yesterday. He suffered another seizure this morning, and has yet to regain consciousness.

Further testing this morning shows damage to Mikes brain stem as well as bleeds on his brain. What that means in regards to Mike's recovery is not known at this time. We will update as more information is received.

Please keep Mike in your prayers.

After shock of what happen to Stephen Murry, this second blow to BMXing is simply terrible.
